About Me

This blog is all about the bits after birth and before death.

I love pretty much anything crafty and I’ll try anything once but since teaching myself to crochet using YouTube in 2008 I haven’t veered far from the wooly tree.
I went to the Royal Bath and West show in 2010, watched the sheep sheering and the ladies sat on the stage with their spinning wheels and I knew that would be my next skill. I would take my love of making wooly things back a step and learn to spin my own yarn. In 2011 I purchased my Ashford Joy, got the chance to meet some great people in the SpinDyeWeavers group and haven’t looked back. I now spin and dye my own fibre & yarn, next to master will be to process it from the fleece and all the while keep trying to convince Farmer Jon to let me have some pet sheep on his farm.
Oh and I also want to learn to weave in my copious amounts of spare time…I got an Ashford 24” Rigid Heddle Loom for my Birthday 2013!!!! Farmer Jon is the BEST!

Other than my craft life I enjoy gardening, pottering about the house, visiting Farmer Jon and helping him out and about on the farm.
